Ester Ivanov (owner)
Pianist and Piano Teacher

  • Driven by various passions, Ester grew up with her best ally, her piano. Through it, she has become the person she is today, both personally and musically. Many would say she has an invaluable zest for life, overflowing with creativity, especially when it comes to teaching, and has a deep passion for working with children.

    With over 10 years of experience working with students of all ages and levels, she has developed a comprehensive and diverse skill set. Currently based in Montreal, her studio is located in the southwest.

Helen Bryant
Pianist and Piano Teacher

  • American pianist Helen Bryant began her classical studies at age 10 after years of learning jazz classics by ear from her father. As a soloist, she has performed across the United States, including as a fellow at NPR’s From the Top. In 2018, she earned the silver medal at the 18th Osaka International Competition, held in Osaka, Japan. Helen has won top prizes in competitions across the US and abroad. Helen works as a research assistant and writer for the University of Michigan Gershwin Initiative. She contributed to the first critical edition of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, which was published in 2024. She is currently pursuing a masters at the Université de Montréal with Henry Kramer. She graduated with honors from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance in 2023, earning degrees in Piano Performance and Musicology. Helen’s undergraduate studies were with Christopher Harding. A native of Atlanta, she was a student of Alexander Wasseman for seven years. Private studies with Yong Hi Moon and Julian Martin are also of primary influence.

Anna Chowattanakul
Pianist and Piano Teacher

  • Anna’s musical journey began in Thailand and continued in Canada after she moved at the age of nine. Growing up, music was a vibrant part of her life and community, shaping her love for collaboration and creativity. Inspired by a passionate high school teacher and her experiences in various ensembles, Anna pursued a career in music education.


    During her studies, she discovered a deep passion for music theory, improvisation, and jazz, which led her to earn a master’s degree in jazz piano from Bowling Green State University. Trained in both classical and jazz traditions, Anna specializes in music theory, arranging, ear training, and improvisation.


    As a teacher, Anna fosters a fun and rewarding learning environment, welcoming students from beginners to advanced levels, including adults and diverse learners. Her goal is to inspire creativity and confidence, helping every student find their unique voice in music.

Manuel Romero Colin
Violonist and Violon Teacher

  • A professional violinist with over 10 years of orchestral experience, Manuel Romero Colin is a graduate of the University of Montreal with a degree in violin performance. Trained under Claude Richard, he has distinguished himself through his technical mastery and ability to create a profound musical connection, blending expressiveness and precision.

    Originally from Mexico, Manuel performed with the Toluca Philharmonic Orchestra and the Mexiquense Philharmonic Orchestra, interpreting a wide repertoire under the baton of renowned conductors. In 2019, he was awarded the Second Prize Presea al Mérito for his performances of Heifetz-Ponce and Pablo Sarasate’s works.

    His career has taken him to international stages, with performances in Italy and Ceuta, where he collaborated with musicians from diverse backgrounds, broadening his artistic vision. These experiences have allowed him to refine his playing and explore various musical styles, ranging from classical masterpieces to contemporary works.

    As a teacher, Manuel emphasizes a personalized pedagogical approach tailored to the needs and goals of each student. Whether introducing the violin to beginners or guiding advanced students in honing their skills, he supports his students with both rigor and kindness, fostering meaningful musical growth and a deep connection to the instrument.

Julián Camilo Lerma Bejarano
Violist and Violist Teacher

  • Julián Camilo Lerma Bejarano is a Colombian violist based in Montreal, whose international career has led him to perform at some of the world's most prestigious festivals and concert halls. Holding a master’s degree in viola performance from the University of Montreal under the guidance of Juan-Miguel Hernández-Hachez, he has gained extensive experience as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer.

    His orchestral journey includes participation in numerous renowned ensembles, such as the Drummondville Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre Classique de Montréal (CANIMEX mentorship program), the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival Orchestra in Germany, the Rheingau Music Festival, and the Orchestre de la Francophonie in Canada. He has also performed in international tours with the Filarmónica Joven de Colombia under Andrés Orozco-Estrada, appearing in iconic venues like Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, the Wiener Konzerthaus, Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie, the Philharmonie in Cologne, and the Alte Oper in Frankfurt.

    As a chamber musician, he has collaborated with world-renowned artists such as Yura Lee, Jennifer Stumm, Lars Anders Tomter, Tai Murray, and Anthony Marwood at festivals like the Ilumina Classical Music Festival in Brazil and the Huilo Huilo International Music Festival in Chile. He has also participated in masterclasses with Nobuko Imai in Switzerland and Colombia, enriching his interpretive and stylistic approach.

    A prizewinner in several international competitions, he has received awards from the Huilo Huilo International Music Festival and the "Jóvenes Intérpretes" program of Colombia’s Central Bank, affirming his excellence as a soloist.

    In addition to his performing career, Julián is a dedicated educator, teaching viola and violin at various institutions in Canada, including Musique aux Enfants (El Sistema) and the University of Montreal. He has also worked as a coach and teacher in educational programs in Colombia, Central America, and Brazil.

    Always seeking new artistic challenges, he plans to participate in competitions and festivals in Europe and Asia, exploring new musical and academic opportunities on the international stage. His ambition is to continue pushing his boundaries as a performer while sharing his knowledge with the next generation of musicians.

Sidony Delaporte
Cellist and Cello Teacher

  • Sidony Delaporte began studying the cello at the age of seven at the Pantin Conservatory with Anaïs Moreau. It was there that he formed a trio, "Vulcania," with two fellow cellists, performing in various venues and community bars from 2015 to 2019.

    Inspired by his participation in several summer academies in the Vercors and Arras regions, he decided to continue his studies at the Regional Conservatory of Paris under Marie-Paule Milone. During these years, he also benefited from the guidance of esteemed professors such as Xavier Gagnepain, Marc Coppey, Raphaël Pidoux, Marie Hallynck, Marie-Thérèse Grisenti, and Éric-Maria Couturier.

    In 2023, following an inspiring meeting with Yegor Dyachkov, Sidony decided to further his studies at the University of Montreal.

    He also takes piano lessons and has explored baroque cello on several occasions, notably with Elena Andrejev in Paris from 2021 to 2022 and with Elinor Frey and Olivier Brau in Montreal since 2023. Contemporary music and improvisation are also among his interests.

    Sidony places significant importance on orchestral and chamber music.

    He participated in the CRR Paris Orchestra (DFO) from 2020 to 2022 and has been part of the University of Montreal Orchestra since 2023, where he served as principal cellist in Mahler's Symphony No. 2.

    Additionally, he has been involved in several independent projects in Paris and Montreal, including Metamorphosen by Strauss in Paris in June 2024.

    In the realm of chamber music, he performed a series of concerts in Corsica in 2022 with the Sacher Quartet and recently joined the Impromptu Quartet, with whom he performed in Pouliguen in July 2024.
